Configuration

Main

Consult and modify the main Packetfence configuration (interface to the pfcmd config commands).
Please note that this is equivalent to modifying the Packetfence configuration file <conf_dir>/pf.conf. In particular, the changes are not immediately taken into account. You'll have to restart the affected Packetfence services in order to use the new configuration settings.

Interfaces

Consult and modify the PacketFence's server interface configuration
Please note that this is equivalent to modifying the Packetfence configuration file <conf_dir>/pf.conf interface section. In particular, the changes are not immediately taken into account. You'll have to restart the Packetfence services in order to use the new interface configuration settings.

Networks

Consult and modify the different network configuration for the registration, isolation or inline DHCP scopes. This is equivalent to modifying the <conf_dir>/networks.conf file. Make sure to restart the dhcp and named service upon changes.

Switches

Consult and modify the Packetfence VLAN configuration (interface to the pfcmd switchconfig commands).
Please note that this is equivalent to modifying the Packetfence configuration file <conf_dir>/switches.conf. In particular, the changes are not immediately taken into account. You'll have to restart the affected Packetfence services in order to use the new configuration settings.

Floating Network Devices

Consult and modify the floating device configuration. Refer to the administration guide to know more about this feature. Currently tested and working on some Cisco or Nortel switches.

Violation

Consult and modify the Packetfence violation configuration (interface to the pfcmd violationconfig commands).
Please note that this is equivalent to modifying the Packetfence configuration file <conf_dir>/violations.conf. In particular, the changes are not immediately taken into account. You'll have to restart the affected Packetfence services in order to use the new configuration settings.

Fingerprint

Consult and update the DHCP fingerprints.

User Agents

Consult and update the browser user-agent definitions.

Captive-Portal

Consult and update the different remediation pages for the violations. Those files can also be found on the file system in html/captive-portal/violations.
