Bob was the architect and chief software developer of the Security Administrator's Integrated Network Tool (SAINT). In March 1999, Bob joined the Advanced Research Corporation ® and started the Security Auditor's Research Assistant (SARA) development. His goal was to provide a freely available product that the community could use without restriction. He is providing "hooks" to other OpenSource software such as nmap (for OS fingerprinting) and Samba (for SMB share verification). By integrating the community's work, a truly "good" assessment tool can be developed and maintained.
