The security issue is caused due to "ssh-keysign" leaking file descriptors when executing the "ssh-rand-helper" utility, which can be exploited to disclose private keys. Successful exploitation requires that the system does not provide a built-in source for randomness (e.g. "/dev/random"). Note: Reportedly, Mac OS X, Cygwin, Linux, and BSD-based platforms are not affected. SOLUTION: Update to Portable OpenSSH 5.8p2 or apply patch.
