This fixes a security issue and a vulnerability, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to perform certain actions with escalated privileges and malicious people to potentially compromise a user's system. 1) An uninitialised pointer error in the SPICE Firefox plugin can be exploited by e.g. tricking a user into visiting a malicious website. 2) The SPICE Firefox plugin creates log files with a predictable filename, which can be exploited to overwrite arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks. SOLUTION: Updated packages are available via Red Hat Network.
