The security issues are caused due to the application creating temporary files in an insecure manner, which can be exploited to e.g. overwrite arbitrary files or delete an "atop.acct" file in an arbitrary directory via symlink attacks. The security issues are reported in version 1.26. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Restrict access to trusted users only.
