The vulnerability is caused due to a use-after-free error when handling the "addOSPLext()" method and can be exploited to dereference already freed memory via a specially crafted web page. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is confirmed in version 780.0.20.5. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control. PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: Carsten Eiram, Secunia Research.
