The security issue is caused due to a race condition within the handling of file descriptors in combination with FD_CLOEXEC, which can result in privileged file descriptors being leaked. This is related to: SA9691 SOLUTION: The security issue is fixed in version 4.35 on systems running Linux Kernel version 2.6.28 or later and glibc 2.10 or later.
