The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the "email()" function in manage_sql.c while processing OMP (OpenVAS Management Protocol) requests. This can be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary shell commands via a specially crafted request sent using the Greenbone Security Assistant web application.
