DESCRIPTION:
Marcell Major has reported a security issue in Apache Derby, which
can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security
features.

The security issue is caused due to improper transformation used in
the "BUILTIN" authentication functionality, which reduces the size of
the set of input passed to SHA-1 when generating password hashes. This
makes it easier to crack passwords via hash collisions.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 10.6.1.0 or later.
