The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing NI Kore Sound Files and can be exploited to corrupt heap-based memory via a specially crafted KSD file. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code, but requires tricking a user into opening a malicious file. The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.1.4 R1901. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Do not open untrusted files.
