DESCRIPTION:
Dmitry Oleksiuk has discovered a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows,
which can be exploited by malicious, local users to potentially gain
escalated privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in win32k.sys when
processing certain parameters associated with a keyboard layout file
and can be exploited to corrupt memory.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code in the
kernel.

The vulnerability is confirmed on a fully patched Windows XP SP3
(win32k.sys version 5.1.2600.6206). Other versions may also be
affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted users only.
