PhpKobo Short URL "LANG_CODE" File Inclusion Vulnerabilities

DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in PhpKobo Short URL,
which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially
sensitive information.

Input passed to the "LANG_CODE" parameter in url/app/common.inc.php,
codelib/cfg/common.inc.php, and staff/app/common.inc.php is not
properly sanitised before being used to include files. This can be
exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources via
directory traversal attacks and URL-encoded NULL bytes.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled
and "register_globals" is enabled.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.01. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
