DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in HP Application Recovery Manager,
which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service) or compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing
MSG_PROTOCOL (0x010b) packets sent to the OmniInet process. This can
be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by sending a
specially crafted packet to port 5555/TCP.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in version 5.50 and 6.0.
