PPTP Client "pptpsetup" Information Disclosure

DESCRIPTION:
A weakness has been reported in PPTP Client, which can be exploited
by malicious, local users to disclose sensitive information.

The weakness is caused due to the "delete()" function in pptpsetup
creating the "/etc/ppp/chap-secrets" file with insecure permissions,
which can be exploited to e.g. disclose the password.

Successful exploitation requires that the administrator used the
"--delete" function of pptpsetup.

The weakness is reported in version 1.7.2. Other versions may also be
affected.

SOLUTION:
Fixed in the CVS repository.
