The vulnerability is caused due to an error when handling empty POST requests with a non-zero "Content-Length" header. This can be exploited to disclose response data associated with the request of a different user via specially crafted HTTP requests. The vulnerability is reported in versions 1.2.0 through 1.2.26. Tomcat versions 4.0.0 through 4.0.6, 4.1.0 through 4.1.36, 5.0.0 through 5.0.30, and 5.5.0 through 5.5.27 are reportedly also affected as they contain the vulnerable connector version in their source packages.
