This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows e.g. retrieving the administrator password hash, but requires knowledge of the database table prefix, that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled, and that the Calendar module is activated. 2) Input passed to the "user" and "commento" parameters in mods.php (when "mods" is set to "Guestbook") is not properly sanitised before being stored. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is viewed. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that the Guestbook module is activated. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.3.4 with the Core module updated to version 2.2.6. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
