TITLE:
Wheatblog File Inclusion and SQL Injection Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA25903

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/25903/

CRITICAL:
Highly critical

IMPACT:
Manipulation of data, Exposure of system information, Exposure of
sensitive information, System access

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
Wheatblog 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/12554/

DESCRIPTION:
E.Minaev has discovered two vulnerabilities in Wheatblog, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks,
disclose sensitive information, or compromise a vulnerable system.

1) Input passed to the "wb_class_dir" parameter in
includes/sessions.php is not properly verified before being used to
include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from
local or external resources.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that
"register_globals" is enabled.

2) Input passed to the "login" parameter in admin/login.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that
"magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.1. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified and
sanitised.

Restrict web access (e.g. with ".htaccess") to sensitive directories
and files to fix vulnerability #1:
