The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error within the handling of the "/net" mount point (or similarly configured mount points using the "-hosts" special map) and can be exploited to crash the system. Successful exploitation requires that the system has the autofs service enabled and a "-hosts" entry in the "/etc/auto_master" file.
