The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the handling of avatar uploads in avatar_upload.asp. This can be exploited to upload scripts to a location inside the web root by including a null byte in the avatar filename. Example: test.asp[null byte].jpg Successful exploitation requires administrative privileges. The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.3. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
