The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error within the handling of the version string received from a client. This can potentially be exploited to crash the server and may allow arbitrary code execution. The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.96f. Prior versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: The vulnerability has reportedly been fixed in a private development version, which is not publicly available.
