DESCRIPTION:
rgod has discovered some vulnerabilities in Netquery, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.

Input passed to the "portnum", "step" and "body" parameters isn't
properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.

Log information is placed in the file "logs/nq_log.txt" inside the
web root.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 3.1. Other
versions may also be affected.

Reportedly, input passed to the "host" parameter in the ping panel is
not properly sanitised and can be exploited to inject arbitrary shell
commands. However, this has not been confirmed in version 3.1.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
