CRITICAL:

IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
D-Forum 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/1102/

DESCRIPTION:
benjilenoob has reported a vulnerability in D-Forum, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.

Input passed to the "page" parameter in "nav.php3" is not properly
sanitised before being returned to users in error messages. This can
be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of a vulnerable site by tricking the user
into visiting a malicious web site or follow a specially crafted
link.

Example:
http://[host]/dforum/nav.php3?page=[code]

The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.11. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.

Filter malicious characters and character sequences in a proxy server
or firewall with URL filtering capabilities.
