The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the Hyperlink Object Library. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via applications linked against the vulnerable object library. Successful exploitation requires that a user opens a malicious URL following a link from an email or a HTML document. SOLUTION: Apply patches.
